A little bout' me.
Design has always been an interest of mine dating back to when I used to be enarmored by the toy package and mini-comics that came with a Masters of the Universe figure. I always payed attention to the art on comic books, cartoons, cereal boxes; pretty much anything that would catch my eye. But two things are responsible for keeping me interested in design till now…
Music has beena constant in my family, with my dad and his brothers having their own band. So growing up I was grounded in the good stuff. Having already been interested in design, album covers and the sound associated with them helped to progress my imagination.
Being introduced to skateboarding is the other thing that set my creative mind on overdrive. Not only could you be creative on the board, but you could become creative in design as well. Whether it came to the board graphics or shoe designs, skateboarding really enhanced my perception of where design can go. These two together formed the basis of the Grizzly Anderson.
I attended Cal State San Bernardino majoring in Business Administration, then quickly switched over to Graphic Design in Marketing. After a couple quarters, I wanted to further expand my skills in the design field. I made the decision to continue my education elsewhere. This is how I ended up at the Art Institute.
In December of 2007, I graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Interactive Media Design. In doing so, I have created the website that you see before your very eyes.
"Like a pocket knife; there's a little bit of everything." That's the motto that best represents my work. I try to use a little bit of all the tools I've learned in regards to web design. As for this particular site, I really just wanted my own shelter on the web where I can show the web design work that I’ve done, as well as blog about the things I see, hear, and care about. Whether it’s photos of family and friends, a new site I’m working on, my top ten favorite wrasslers, anything and everything is on display.
Thanks and blessings. –Aren
